Austin Hill Picks up a Pair of Pro Wins
In the world of Legends Car racing, the term "push to pass" is used quite often as the front bumper on the scale cars sometimes is the only way to get by a competitor.  It creates some interesting battles on the race track and sometimes some great rivalries.  Austin Hill can attest to that as he has been on the giving and receiving end of the bumper.  Last weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway (GA) was no different as Hill had to use the bumper as well as receiving it as he drove to victory lane twice in one day.

“I had a great battle with Dylan Ames,” said Austin.  “I passed him clean early on, but he bumped me out of the way to take the lead back.  After a few laps, I returned the favor to him and got the lead back.  We did it again on the final lap.  He punted me in one and two and I got back to him in turn three, used the bumper and we won the race.”
Hill Brothers Weekend Recap 2-23-08
Hill and Ames had another go around in the second feature.  After some classic bump and runs, Hill took home his second victory of the weekend.  The next day at Lanier National Speedway (GA), he was going for three in a row and a weekend sweep, but came up a bit short.

“We struggled at Lanier,” said Austin. “I would go in the corner and the car would be loose, then the next lap it would be tight.  We finished sixth with a pretty bad car.  We have adapted to the Pro ranks really well.  If things work out we might be able to win a championship.”

Younger brother Dalton Hill was in action in his Bandolero as well at both Atlanta Motor Speedway and at Lanier National Speedway.  Despite not driving into victory lane like his older brother, Dalton's solid finishes at both tracks gave him more confidence in his driving abilities.

“In the first race at Atlanta we had a good car and I finished third,” said Dalton.  “We fell back to sixth in the second and we finished sixth at Lanier.  I am getting a lot better and a lot faster this year.  I have really learned a lot about the car.”

Both Hill Brothers will be back on track this weekend as they wrap up the 2009 Georgia Winter Series at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA) on February 28th.   Austin has a 26-point lead in the Legends Pro division and looks to win another Legends Car championship.  Dalton is fourth in Bandolero Bandit points and has finished in the top five several times this season.
