Austin Hill Earns AMS Victory and Georgia Winter Series Championship
Legends Pro division racer Austin Hill has won many races during his career as well as multiple championships.  After Saturday's racing action at Atlanta Motor Speedway (GA), two more notches were added to his accomplishment list as he won the final Georgia Winter Series event at the track, locking up the championship in the Pro division.

Entering the race on Saturday, Hill had to only complete a single lap to lock in the title, which made the young racer nervous.

"All I had to do is run one lap since it (the gap) was 20 or 30 points and there were only about six cars," explained Hill.  "I was just trying to ride that first lap and was getting hit from Will Prance because I wasn't driving it hard.  After I completed the one lap, I just went balls to the wall and just tried to win the race after that."

After knowing the title was his, Hill made his way to the front of the field where he dominated the rest of the event.  The win and title was even more special to the Georgia racer as the race happened just after the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event took the checkered flag.

"My car was good the whole race.  I started just riding at the end and they said I was going faster.  I guess that is something I have learned.

"The win and championship means a lot.  NASCAR people are out here and a lot of people could be watching.  You never know who could be watching.  I am just trying to keep finishing first and winning championships, and hope I can get a ride."

Dalton Hill, Austin's younger brother, also took to the track Saturday in the Bandolero Bandits division event.  He started the feature in fifth and finished fourth.

The Hill Brothers Racing team will be back in action at tracks across the south during the 2009 season.  Stay tuned for more race dates coming soon.
